Open a window or door. Light one end of the smudge stick and them immediately blow out so the embers are glowing. With positive intention, walk through every room of your home, keeping ceramic bowl/plate or other incense bowl under the smudge stick to catch any falling embers, waft smoke into each room. When done, extinguish your sage by rubbing it in dirt or sand, on concrete, or stamping it out in a ceramic bowl.
