Desert Rose Selenite is made over hundreds of years through a combination of water, wind, and sand.  Sand becomes embedded in Selenite blades; water additions over time help form the signature “rosette” shape.
 
There is a traditional Native American tale which states that it was carved by resurrected warriors when they returned home from the spirit world. They were then said to have spread across the Earth to protect their homelands.
